SAISD equips every secondary school with digital microscopes

Looking for a close-up view of squirming microorganisms? Yes, there’s an app for that, and high school biology students across SAISD are using it, thanks to the brand-new Wi-Fi digital microscopes that allow them to view and discuss as a group real-time scientific reactions. The District has purchased more than 200 digital microscopes so that every SAISD high school and middle school has them, putting into the hands of students the type of high-tech tools they will be expected to use in college and real-world settings.  Read more

Audience members dressed for the occasion cheered on volleyball players taking part in the annual Dig for the Cure, a triple-header event to raise awareness about breast cancer. At the event, cancer survivors were recognized between games.

A Briscoe ES student presents San Antonio Police Department Deputy Chief Anthony Treviño with a teddy bear to help comfort children in crisis. Each year, the school’s children collect plush bears for the cause.
