Fall 2020:

New kitchen, student dining, Student Union Building and four classroom renovations are substantially complete for the start of the 2020/21 school year. 

Flooring installation is ongoing in the corridors, as well as the second and third floors. Basement classrooms are receiving walkthroughs. Sod at the front lawn is installed. The construction manager is preparing a proposal to replace clay roofing tile with new clay tile.

Spring 2020
-Contractors are finishing the Cafeteria remodel for the new school year.
-Baseball Concession and Football Field Concession Stands are nearing completion
-Fieldhouse renovation has started

Main building classroom renovations have started (1st phase, remainder of main building will still be open and ready for the new school year)

Jefferson High School is unique among the Bond projects in its historic characteristics and need for structural work in some areas. Among considerations for the design team are facility assessments, budget, and scope of project, which was planned in coordination with the Bond 2010 project.

Renovations and upgrades to include:

• Classroom spaces (general learning, science, special education)
• Restrooms
• Cafeteria/kitchen
• Black box theater
• Gymnasiums, athletic field house and support spaces
• Auditorium work restoration mostly pertaining to back house spaces
• Foundation repairs
• Heating, ventilation and air conditioning
• Plumbing and electrical
• Lighting
• Fire sprinkler systems
• Special needs accessibility in entryways, restrooms, and other areas
• Front-entry modifications to improve security
• Technology infrastructure for new and renovated spaces

• Roofing, building exterior and site improvements
