Algebra I (#2214)

In this course students build on K-8 mathematics with a more focused study of algebraic patterns and representations.

This course is part of the IB program. Students will build on K-8 mathematics with a more focused study of algebraic patterns and representations.

Algebra II (#2233)

In this course students build on their work in Algebra I to broaden their understanding of functions and learn new functional relationships in mathematics.

Algebra II DC (#2233D)

In this dual-credit course students build on their work in Algebra I to broaden their understanding of functions and learn new functional relationships in mathematics.

AP Algebra II (#2233Q)

This course includes a more challenging and rigorous version of Algebra II where students build on their work in Algebra I to broaden their understanding of functions and learn new functional relationships in mathematics.

AP Calculus AB (#2481)

 

This college level course explores the concepts, methods, and applications of differential and integral calculus. You will work to understand the theoretical basis and solve problems by applying your knowledge and skills.

AP Calculus AB DC (#2481D)

AP Precalculus (#2472)

 

This college level course explores everyday situations using mathematical tools and lenses in preparation for higher-level mathematics and science courses.

Prerequisites: Algebra I, Geometry, and Algebra II


AP Statistics (#2491)

This college level course looks at the major concepts and tools used for collecting, analyzing, and drawing conclusions from data. You will explore statistics through discussion and activities, and you will design surveys and experiments.

Geometry (#2224)

 

Students learn about relationships in geometric contexts such as coordinate and transformational geometry, logical arguments. constructions, proofs, figures and their properties, trigonometry, and probability.

Special Notes:  This course may be offered as a Dual Language course.

Statistics (#2534)

This course provides students with the opportunity to collect, analyze, and display quantitative data from business, physical and social sciences, engineering, and mathematical applications.

Advanced Quantitative Reasoning (#2524)

Advanced Quantitative Reasoning (AQR) is a capstone mathematics course that builds on and extends students’ prior learning across many math strands and covers other mathematics topics not typically taught in high school.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  1.0 Grades:  9th - 12th

Prerequisites:  Geometry and Algebra II


Algebraic Reasoning (#2292)

In this course, students will build on the knowledge and skills for mathematics in Kindergarten-Grade 8 and Algebra I, continue with the development of mathematical reasoning related to algebraic understandings and processes, and deepen a foundation for studies in subsequent mathematics courses.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  1.0 Grades:  9th - 12th

Prerequisites:  Algebra I


College Prep Math (#1708)

This course prepares students for success in the first year of college-level mathematics. Successful completion of the course grants students exemptions from Texas Success Initiative Assessment (TSIA) requirements for Math at the partnering institutions.

Prerequisites:  Algebra I and Geometry


College Algebra DC (#2233DO)

 

In this dual enrollment/dual credit course, students deepen their critical thinking skills and develop their ability to persist through challenges as they explore function families. Students may earn 3 college hours for completion of this course.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  1.0 Grades:  10th - 12th

Prerequisites: Algebra I

Special Notes:  Prerequisites:  Algebra I; Geometry recommended.


IB Math Analysis & Approaches Standard Level Year I (#2555)

This course has a strong emphasis on the ability to construct, communicate and justify correct mathematical arguments. Students should expect to develop insight into mathematical form and structure and should be intellectually equipped to appreciate the links between concepts in different topic areas. Students are also encouraged to develop the skills needed to continue their mathematical growth in other learning environments.

Term:  Full Year Credit:  1.0 Grades:  9th - 12th

Prerequisites: Algebra II and Geometry


IB Math Analysis & Approaches Standard Level Year II (#2556)

This course has a strong emphasis on the ability to construct, communicate and justify correct mathematical arguments.
