Tonight, in a majority vote, the Board of Trustees approved the district’s rightsizing recommendation package. This action followed the board’s resolution in June, which called on district staff to study its excess building capacity and the inequities this causes across campuses. District staff fulfilled this obligation through extensive community engagement and thoughtful, thorough analysis.

We recognize the deep connection families have with their schools and the range of emotions you may be feeling as you learn this news. Our commitment to you is unwavering. For those of you impacted by rightsizing, know that we will support you through this time of transition with great care and compassion, and we will ensure you have accurate information, so you know and are aware of every opportunity available to you.

If your campus was included in the recommendation package, you can expect to hear from your principal with additional information. Additionally, a team of enrollment and human capital management specialists have been assigned to impacted campuses to support you every step of the way forward.
