Dear SAISD Families and Staff, 

For the safety of students, especially those walking or waiting at bus stops early in the morning, SAISD will keep its schools closed on Wednesday, Jan. 22. However, all Central Office, district and essential staff will report to work on Wednesday, Jan. 22 at their regularly scheduled times. Essential staff members include all central office staff (Quincy, Cooper, Summit), campus custodians and all operations staff. We have worked diligently to prepare SAISD’s facilities for the cold temperatures; however, we recognize that the age of some buildings presents unique challenges.

Important highlights:

• Curbside meals will be available from select schools from 10 a.m. to noon tomorrow. Please look for another communication with the specific locations.

• Additionally, Tuesday’s regularly scheduled board meeting will be held on Wednesday, Jan. 22, beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Central Office board room.

District and school administration and operations staff will continue working tomorrow to ensure our schools are ready to open on Thursday. We appreciate your support and understanding as we prioritize safety and readiness.
