The SAISD Grand Familia are support groups located along the 4 corners of the district that provide resource services to families who are caretakers of children as well as formal and informal placements with a special focus on grandparenting.
The support group will raise awareness of community resources, provide grandparenting and kinship education, program/social service agency awareness, and identify opportunities for families to network and build community. One on one case management services will be provided to individuals who are grandparents/kinship and need additional support to manage the complexities of systems.
