We invite you to join us at a community meeting to discuss a city proposal to temporarily use the Tynan Early Childhood Education Center, beginning this summer. On the advice of the Facilities Repurposing Panel, San Antonio ISD has invited the city to bring its proposal for temporary usage and to request feedback. The meeting will be held:

San Antonio ISD is working with the district’s Facilities Repurposing Panel to research and design potential uses for facilities that are closing, including Tynan Early Childhood Center. Although the repurposing process is still being developed, the City of San Antonio has approached us seeking temporary use of Tynan to house the Ella Austin Community Center during the time its building undergoes construction. This proposal, if approved, would bring the community services provided by the Ella Austin Community Center to the Tynan building for two years with an option to renew.

Any long-term decision to repurpose the Tynan facility will be presented to the community through a process developed by San Antonio ISD in collaboration with the Facilities Repurposing Panel.

Los invitamos a acompañarnos a una reunión comunitaria para hablar de una propuesta de la ciudad para utilizar temporalmente las instalaciones de Tynan Early Childhood Education Center, a partir de este verano. El Panel de Reutilización de Instalaciones ha invitado a la ciudad a presentar esta propuesta a la comunidad para explicar el uso temporal y solicitar opiniones. La reunión se celebrará:

San Antonio ISD está trabajando con el Panel de Reutilización de Instalaciones del distrito para investigar y diseñar posibles usos para las instalaciones que se están cerrando, incluyendo Tynan Early Childhood Center. Aunque el proceso de reutilización aún se está determinando, la ciudad de San Antonio nos ha planteado ahora la posibilidad de utilizar temporalmente Tynan para el Ella Austin Community Center durante el tiempo en que su edificio esté en obras. Esta propuesta, si se aprueba, llevaría los servicios comunitarios que presta el Ella Austin Community Center al edificio Tynan durante un periodo de tiempo.
