SAISD SPOTLIGHT: Fox Tech High School student Danika Maddox just returned from Washington, D.C., advocating Congress in support of Career and Technical Education (CTE)
Danika Maddox, junior at Fox Tech Law Magnet High School, and Advisor Jennifer Casanova represented Texas during the SKillsUSA Washington Leadership Training Institute the last week of September in the nation's capital. Danika concluded the conference by advocating Congressional representatives for continued support of the Perkins Act and the importance of CTE pathways. Danika was excited to meet with Congressman Henry Cuellar, who sits on the Appropriations committee, to share the importance of CTE for SAISD students.

SAISD is ready to showcase the newest completed project of Bond 2020. Rogers College Prep Middle School invites the community to celebrate campus renovations at a ribbon-cutting ceremony and a tour of the new competition gymnasium, athletic facilities, and Fine Arts classrooms. 
 
Oct. 10 (Thurs) – Carroll Early Childhood Education Center Homecoming Event

The homecoming celebration at Carroll Early Childhood Education Center aims to build school spirit and honor Sam Houston High School's history. There will be a parade in the hallways before the campus crowns their homecoming king and queen. The Sam Houston High School band, cheerleaders and football team will join the fun to help introduce the younger students to high school traditions while fostering pride in their future academic journey.
