MORE:
With the investment of the Battle of the Flowers® Association, the SAISD Foundation will be sending a total of 1,185 seventh graders across nine SAISD middle schools and academies to experience the Bullock Museum. Many of the students will also have the opportunity during their trip to tour the Texas Capitol and/or University of Texas at Austin campus. This strongly aligns with the Battle of Flowers® Association’s mission as a civic non-profit organization, whose objective is to teach the history of our state and keep the patriotic traditions of Texas and San Antonio alive.
The Harris Middle School students will take their trip to Austin on Thursday, Oct. 17 on a charter bus.
For SAISD and the SAISD Foundation, this first-year launch is part of an overall initiative to embed powerful learning expeditions tied to grade level curriculum that bring learning to life in new ways for students. In partnership, the goal is to support all seventh graders in SAISD in the 2025-26 school year.
