SAISD SPOTLIGHT:  Lanier High School senior Pu Reh’s journey goes from refuge camp to Questbridge Scholar

Pu Reh is one of eight SAISD seniors to be named a Questbridge scholar. His story that starts in refugee camps is one that speaks to chasing one’s dreams – no matter what. His match with Rice University fulfilled his dream of pursuing a college education. Reh was just three years old when his family immigrated to the United States after living in a refugee camp, always surrounded by threats of war. His parents moved the family to the United States so the children could get an education. Now Reh plans to study International Relations at Rice because he wants to “be the one to make a change and help the people.”

Call to schedule a time to visit with Pu Reh to hear his inspirational story.
