SAISD SPOTLIGHT: Burbank High School students set to shine at the San Antonio Stock Show and Rodeo.

Senior Nicholas Rosas headlines the Burbank Agricultural Science team in 2025.

Eighteen Burbank High School Agriculture students are in final preparations for the San Antonio Junior Livestock Show which opens Feb. 5 at the San Antonio Rodeo grounds. Students will be showing pigs, goats, and chickens over the course of the nearly three-week competition. One of those students is senior Nicholas Rosas who will be competing in the breeding goat competition next weekend (Feb. 7-9).

Fresh off the Bexar County Junior Livestock show where his goat earned second place and reserve grand champion, Rosas is making the final preparations to take part in San Antonio’s 76th annual Stock Show and Rodeo.

Rosas is available mornings from 8:45 to 10:15 a.m. to show his goat and how he cares for her, talk about all he has learned in the Burbank Agriculture program and what it is like to compete at this level.
