Edison High School is one of 17 Bond 2020 major renovation projects currently under construction or that have been completed. In November 2020, San Antonio ISD voters passed two propositions totaling $1.3 billion for major renovations and security, technology and HVAC upgrades.
The $32.2 million investment from Bond 2020 has transformed Edison HS into a modern learning environment.
Major highlights of the completed work include:
•
Renovated classrooms on both the first and second floors, reimagined with student-centered design and upgraded instructional technology;
•
A new library and state-of-the-art media labs, built to empower research, innovation, and digital literacy;
•
Cutting-edge security and technology upgrades across the campus;
•
Extensive roof improvements and a fully replaced HVAC system, ensuring comfortable, climate-controlled learning spaces year-round;
•
New baseball and softball fields, now serving as vibrant hubs for Golden Bear athletics, replacing the long-standing original fields; and
•
An enhanced parking lot with perimeter security fencing, improving both access and safety for students and families.
These bold upgrades, delivered by Bartlett Cocke (General Contractor) and PBK Architects, mark a new chapter for the Edison community.
