The Student Advisory Committee is comprised of campus representatives from each high school and middle school who provide feedback on the student experience and work with the superintendent on student-selected areas of interest and priority to create meaningful change in support of positive student outcomes. Campus representatives work at the campus level to explore topics of interest with peers, seeking out and working to understand varying student perspectives. They also interview campus staff on these topics to more fully understand the issues and the staff perspective. Through district-wide committee meetings, they calibrate with other campus representatives and collaborate to effectively influence change within the district. Each student who serves as a campus representative must apply and be elected to the role by their peers. This committee meets four to six times per school year.
